Controversy Erupts After Trump Shares Divisive Immigration Commentary
US President Donald Trump has caused controversy after re-posting a Truth Social post by radio talk show host Michael Savage that used insulting language about immigrants originating from India and China. In the post, both nations were described as “hellholes” and that immigrants were exploiting the birthright citizenship of the US to get their entire families in the country. Also, it has been stated that industries such as technology are rigged and designed to function only in such a way that Indians and Chinese benefit while excluding white Americans. This comes amid Trump's approval ratings that have fallen into the high 30% range for the first time during his second term presidency, owing to general dissatisfaction among people regarding the state of the economy, Iran-US standoff, and immigration laws.
